Most of the papers were originally published in The Soundtrack and The New Soundtrack journals. Added to them are pieces from a wide range of books, periodicals and online sources that complement the other parts of this website.

These articles explore the relationship of music with moving pictures from a practice-based viewpoint, encouraging composers and other filmmakers to understand not merely how music can be applied to moving images, but when and why it should be used.
